Re: [RE-wrenches] combiner bus bar for Sunny Tower DC input?

Are you sure you need to split them? IIR, there are only a pair of conductors going from each SB into the tower. They must be combined on the SMA side of the touch-safe fuse holders in some way. We opted to run all our source circuits from array through 6 external discos then into the ST inste

But I don't believe the Sunny Tower internally has single conductor lugs leading to the respective SB it's wired to. The DC tower input/output to each respective inverter is effectively a combiner box which combines all fused inputs to a single positive prewired to the respective SB inverter. I ha

Hi Wrenchers, What have you found to be the best way to cover flat-plate collectors? I have several systems that need to be filled about 2 months before occupancy. The Heliodyne collectors I used for this project do not have a protective film like the Viessmann collectors. Any feedback is appreci

As Mr. Spock was fond of saying.fascinating. This bugger would fit (but most likely not attach securely) to certain metal roof patterns that we in Hawaii see quite a bit. Using it on a typical straight-up standing seam would be a totally bogus thing to do. marco Greetings Wrenchies, Has

Greetings Wrenchies, Has anyone seen these mounting clamps ( see attachment)? I did contact S-5! and they were puzzled. I am trying to get the wind load and engineering data for this particular clamp. I pulled this off a very poorly installed system on a standing seem metal roof, and have been h

One of the benefits touted by microinverter and AC module manufacturers is the ability to add on to a system at a later time. There are a few problems with this concept as I see it. First, there is a cost associated with design and engineering. Surely you could design the system, and even produ
