"Supply current" is for the USB port. The USB standard limits the output current supplied by a USB port to 0.5 amps. "Consumption Current" is for the unit itself. The 10A figure is of importance here. The 10 amps is likely a peak value (volume dependent) at 13.8 VDC (nominal). The audio outp

Designing stand alone bus stop system. Client is wanting to put in a radio/mp3/cd unit (please don't ask me why). I am a bit confused in looking at the specs.they show maximum "supply current" of 500mA and "consumption current" at 10A...not familiar with the difference in those two.

Drake, My points related to non-contractor installs which came up after you raised your initial concern. I think Ohio is being ridiculous for not providing incentives to their qualified installers installing on their own facilities. This makes absolutely no sense. You can tell them that for me.
