Eric,
What are you using for modules? I'm a big fan of the SMA inverters--very
reliable, easy install, excellent support.
There's a good article in the new journal Solar Pro deals with this
issue of multiple small inverters vs. one large inverter.

We've used the Flojet 24 volt quad pump, or a Flowlight Booster pump
for longer life. The tankless water heater you want is the Aquastar
1600H. Contact me for more info.

Todd,
They have an integral pressure switch. It's adjustable via a single screw,
but the spread (between cut-in and cut-out) is not.
Re Bob's recommendation: my opinion is a bit different. Run a pressure tank,
but I don't see the need for a big one. The pump is cheap and forgiving -
put any tank

Hi Todd
the energy for pumping even with this surface tank is to give concern. Set your
water resivour precharge low, perhaps 15 to 20 PSI set your cutoff at 20 to 25
PSI be careful the tankless may not run under these condtitons. I have never
seen a pump on demand that did not greatly increase
Direct pumping probably not satasify the water heaters flow requirements.
There is a 3.3 GPM version in 24 volt DC

Todd,
I have had good luck with systems like this using a Shurflo 120 volt pump
3.3 GPM but the 24 volt is simular. If you feed them from a standing tank
they seem to pump well over spec and hang around for a long time. Run the
output to as big a pressure tank as you can get. The larger the better,

Thanks for the recommendation. Does
this unit need an external pressure switch or is that integral? Does
these work w/o an expansion tank or will they cycle on/off excessively
set up in a direct pumping situation?

Todd,
The Shurflo 2088-24 (model 2088-474-144) is a reliable and cheap surface
pump; tolerates sediment, field rebuildable (until the motor brushes
eventually wear out, but in this app that could be many years) and retails
aroud $125. About 2 gpm at pressure. Not freeze-tolerant.

Hey all -
Just wondering what your favoring inverter combo is for a 25 kW job.

I have seen these panels go bad myself. We had 11 of them on a commercial
roof in Marin CA. and BP was good about warranties. I would definitely
contact them.
