Speaking of Fargo, my stock bike came with 29er 2.2 inch Continental Race
Kings, which I toured for a week on carrying 40lbs of camping equipment. We
traveled on dirt, gravel and pavement through northern woods of WI and MI and
tires were great; no issues. Admittedly, I returned home and purchas
I didn't want to buy a tube of $10 adhesive just to secure a $20ish grip so I
checked what was on hand. Super strength double stick tape: too thick to get
grip on bar. Hot glue: stuck momentary but then broke free. Weather strip
adhesive: light layer sorta held so gooed on some more and wa-la! S
Items are all in excellent, hardly used condition:
Grip Kings have "pedal spikes" installed (easily removed) and a few extra holes
for more. Grip is vastly improved, in fact, I removed half the spikes that I
originally installed, they work so well. $40.
Large butternut color pants have zipper
Oops. Power Grip pedal straps: $20 includes shipping to lower 48 states.

In addition to a U-lock, I have Pitlock skewers on all wheels of three bikes
and Pitlock nuts on seaposts and a small Pitlock nut inside all seat Allen
bolts. All of this is meant to deter and slow down thieves for the 30-60
minutes I may let a bike out of my sight, rather than absolutely preven

I've found them excellent on Jitensha bars, which are shorter than the rest
mentioned here, but similar shape. I do wonder about them on bars with a
little more sweep, though. I feel like the design is optimisted for
straight bars, but I've seen plenty on Map type bars.
