Lovely lines, Mike.
Hmm...thinking I might want to do something similar on mine.

Beautiful Hilsen! I know you will enjoy it. I too would like a better
view of the color. It looks like a dark blue on my monitor.
Love the simplicity, and have thought about doing the same with mine.
Since my Kogswell P/R has a fixed wheel, I've stayed with the gears on
the AHH...for now.

In general, I'm a butterscotch fan. My AHH is in a color called
"school bus yellow", so isn't butterscotch or your color exactly.
Since it is a little lighter, maybe it will help you visualize the
built-up version of yours, a little.

It is encouraging to hear of another example of "cultivating a small
group of individuals who enjoy a tour rather than a race and have
embraced the thought of a rolling bicycle adventure/picnic". I am
beginning to see references this type of thing more and more in these
discussion groups and on b
Let's say maybe I want to noodle around out in the summer sun without
a helmet (on deep soft grass and no cars, of course). Wanting more
sun protection, I'm thinking something with a wide brim is needed. I
sometimes wear a ball cap, but would like more protection for ears and
neck. Something re
Great options! Thanks for the input.

That's excellent, David! I see about 5 models that would serve my

Since you guys keep talking about hats, I'll go ahead and add that I
made the Tilley commitment today. I pulled the trigger on the T4 and
it looks like it'll meet my needs nicely.
I'm as ready for summer in Texas as I can be.

Will,
We have a few things in common. I followed up my Kogswell P/R with
the purchase of a AHH. Although there are significant differences, I
am enjoying both bikes. I keep threatening to do a "shoot-out"
comparison on my blog, but it hasn't happened yet.

I'm currently running a 1x 8 and it works very well in small rolling-
hill terrain. My reason for this approach is that I really like to
frequently switch between gears and fixed. I have another wheel with
a fixed cog and the switch involves only a few minutes to remove rear

Great story, Beth. Your blending of bike history with the coffee ride
was masterful. It sounds like that cool bike even made the coffee
taste better. May you enjoy it many more miles...

There are a couple of bold statements. I've been waiting for someone
to comment on this.
I'm not prepared to argue with either. I just purchased a 650B AHH
and am looking forward to finishi
Great idea, Seth.
Phil, can you make that photo available to the group?
