For current production models, the 57cm Roadini seems like the perfect fit.
57cm has 63cm stack, 38cm reach, and 62cm front center:

Loving the new design! I wonder if the new stay design will soften the rear
ride a bit... Less triangulation? Also a huge fan of v-brakes so I'm super
excited to see this make their way onto upcoming frames. Can't wait to see
the Gallop!

Roberta- I don't have any experience on a Cheviot outside of a long test
ride (thanks to John @Rivelo). I was just curious if there was a motive
behind the design change outside of aesthetics. I'm with you in that I
think tire size/type have a huge impact on the feel of a ride, perhaps the

I've run Bosco's with Sram GX 2X10 triggers mounted in 2 different
positions.
Originally mounted them right above the brake lever and grip, in the
"standard" position. This worked fine for shifting from the grips and was
comfortable but the shifter got in the way of wrapping my hand around my

Beautiful build Keith! That rear cable hanger is so good with the brass
pulley :)
What rims are you running on the Susie?

The wheelset on my Clem is built from the previous generation VO touring
hubs (same manufacturer?) laced to Cliffhangers. I've run 2.35 G-One
speeds and 55mm Antelope hills on them and both tires set up very easily
tubeless using velocity rim tape.
I'm really happy with the hubs- they feel re

I've read a couple of people planning to run 48mm Oracle Ridge on the
incoming Homers. Do you all have input from Riv that the new frames will
fit this tire? I ask because that would definitely make the new frames more
tempting.
My experience trying to run the 48mm Oracle Ridge (tubeless on Qui
Just wanted to chime in and say that the fit and finish on these stems is
phenomenal. I ordered a 30mm to run drops on my Clem and was really
impressed with the craftsmanship- the expander wedge snugs easily and there
is no play or "rocking" back in forth felt with the stem run at full

It looks like Soma has the extra long Technomic (280mm) in the same 50mm
reach as Leah's stem with a 25.4 clamp. A little on the steep side but I'd
say worth the piece of mind!

It sounds like we've followed similar paths- I was very involved with early
watercooled VW's in the early 2000's down here in Seattle. Put a MK2 GTi on
airride and dual Weber carbs. I miss working on cars someti
Another vote for those mentioned already: Back Alley, Free Range, and

I was able to fit 2.6 Maxxis Ikons on my 59cm H frame. Plenty of clearance
although I've heard that the L frames have less clearance at the
chainstays. Not sure if this is still accurate with the new run of frames
though.
My girlfriend also has an older 52cm H frame with the swoopy seat stays.
Hi all,
In search of an Analog stem to try out some drops on my Clem. Open to
either the 0 or 30mm extension and looking for a 31.8 clamp. I called
Analog but it sounds like it may be awhile until they get another batch so

Thank you James for all the detailed info and the amazing customer service.
I'll definitely be picking one up come xmas, the new stems sound perfect!
In the meantime if someone has a stem they're willing to part with for some
fall riding give me a shout!

The Gus and Susie are showing up for me on the Geometries and Sizing page

Great build! I really dig the Clem basket on there, looks like a great fit
with the shopsack. Those olive oil green and the orange Cheviot's are
perfect to my eye. I had a chance to ride a 60cm at Rivelo in Portland for
an hour or more (thanks John for the extended ride time, so nice!) and I

Just a couple of things that I noticed while building up my Clem:
A clutch rear derailleur really helps with the chain slap if you plan on
doing any mixed surface riding. The extra long chainstays give more room
for the chain to sag and bounce around. The chain slap may not bother you

I have a mustard Clem and was going to order a RAL 1027 touch up pen. Not
sure if it's exact but should be close enough for me. Hope this helps!
