I recently let a 1986 Schwinn Passage go to a new owner after enjoying a lot
for around 3 years.
The only reason I did sell it was because I bought a Sam Hillbourne about a
year ago and have been riding it more.
I think the Columbus Tenax tubing of which the Passage is made is pretty good
stuff
as mostly dried out
and solidified at the lowest part of the tyre, making the wheel quite
unbalanced, requiring me to dismount the tyre, clean out the solidified
sealant, then remount the tyre and add more sealant.
So these days I've given up on tubeless...

One of the problems with using a dropout extender that moves the whole
derailleur down, to work with a larger cassette than the design spec, is
that the shifting becomes pretty bad in the smaller cogs, because the top
jockey pulley is now a considerable distance from those cogs.

Is anyone sitting on a pair of Silver 2 shifters they'd be willing to part
with? I've been waiting on Riv to restock these for a bit. My current
shifters are really on their last legs, though, and I'd like to swap them

I've been pretty impressed with the Marathon Almotion 700x55 that I've been
using on an Appaloosa. They roll out remarkably well for such a fat and
fairly heavy tyre. The ones I have are rated as being tubeless compatible,
but I've been using tubes in them.

getting a retrofit, I'd go with Bilenky, but that's partly because
he's fairly near by.

If you're having him ship it back, suggest that he ship it back
insured and give you the tracking # so that you can collect if it
fails to arrive and so that you can track the item. That way there
