I agree that the turnbuckle closures on the pockets are functionally great;
but, they tend to rattle on chips eel and the like, which bugs me. Has anyone
managed to silence the rattle?

I need to replace the cables on my first generation Sam Hillborne. I like the
look of the Jagwire Road Pro Gold Medal braided cable and was wondering if it
is a good match to the gold decals on the green Sam. The decals are more of a
bronze than gold to my eyes so I'm afraid it clash. Anyone loo

I have a first generation canti Sam and my CR720s wiggle quite s bit in the
pivots, more so on the fork. With more than usual toe-in they perform just
fine. Still as the toe-in lessens with pad wear the judder starts to reappear.
Do others have this issue? Are the tolerances of the 720s just poo

I learned about Rivendell in 1997 when I was educating myself Online on
high-end steel road frames and manufacturers. I ended up buying a Waterford but
became a Riv member shortly thereafter and continued to follow them along with
BQ. I’d always wanted an Atlantis When they were introduced but

I had the same thing happen to my 9 spd bar end shifter after about 14k miles.
In the middle of the range where it spent the most time the indexing got very

Last year I did an ultralight 3-week tour of the French Alps carrying less than
15 lbs in a large acorn boxy and Carradice Junior. Worked out very well. The
only advantage to panniers is that they can be quickly removed and carried with

I did something similar to what Friend suggests. The front of my SKS fender
broke off where I cut slots to allow my side pulls room around the fender. I
simply used aluminum flashing and attached it to the bottom of the rack using
the existing screws. Worked fine. I don’t have that setup anymore
