Reminds me of the days when beer cans and bottles had to be opened
using a tool vs. a "quick-release" of some kind. Personally, I like
using a nice heavy opener on a frosty bottle now and then. If the same
tool can tighten a hub nut, or take off a pedal, or firm up a crank
bolt - all the better.

You could also split each grip down the enter lengthwise, glue-'em
back together over the bars, and do a cloth-wrap twine/shellack job to
finish it off. I wrapped a set of cork grips myself and it feels
pretty good. You would never see the split once it's done.

That's a perfect build there David! Love the TA crankset. With a rig
that size, you could easily go for the Giant Wald out front, and with
a couple davits out back, you could easily swing a Raleigh 20 as a

go on the SS Proteus, and a beautiful Sugino XP (not the PX - that's
the TA knock-off) that I'll use on my Bombadil.

All too often I fall into the "If it fits, it ships" mode. Fortunately
for me, in this case, it does not fit and will not ship.
An AR 61 or Quickbeam 64 might change things...

My buddy/builder in Baltimore is at it again. He did a nice fork for
me a while back, and I was thinking about a stem for a future build.
