Eddy must have had terrible TCO, a 59.5cm FC for a 58cm frame Good
thing Eddy did not have to turn around in the road at slow speed.
Really enjoyed the article, a good POV.

Grant's theme of "duplication" was stated about 5 to 6 years ago, but I did
not notice a large reduction.

I use a B17, and when I climb or pedal hard (paceline), I tend to move back
on the B17 and feel the rivets. What does this indicates
My bars are at saddle height my knee is about 10mm below the pedal
spindle. The saddle height is 9.5 to 10 cm less than PBH.

have it, but it seems to need
tensioning more often than one I had from an earlier period, probably due
to a slightly thinner hide from the 'mad cows'.
Funny, Bill is retired, but I still have the saddle.

Rich S asked
what is the minimum tire pressure you're comfortable using?
Minimum is 75% of the pressure predicted by 15% Tire Drop method based on
Front/Rear weight. Based on a survey I did on iBob group in 2016 or 2017.

I agree with your experimental method, especially for non paved roads. My
75% value was an attempt to provide the same protection against snake bits
and ensure the tire does not collapse for a range of total weights and tire
sizes. I forget to mention it was for paved roads.

s pressure. I did a survey about 2 years ago, and pinch flats
occurred when the actual pressure was > 25% below the 15% tire drop
pressure. So it looks like 4 folks are trying to get a more comfortable
ride but avoiding pinch flats

total - 2.105, round to no decimal places
Wtotat =Wdist * (Wrider + Wbike + Wextra), Wdist s the fractional weight
for each wheel, e.g. 0.45 for Front in a 45%/55% scheme
Does this help?

15% Tire Drop pressure is 55 psig front, 67 psig rear, so letting it go
low is not bad
