Hey thanks Bill, I’m in Portland and could definitely go browse used part
bins or see what shops have as take-offs. At this moment buying on the list
or online would also work well for me.

Sweet setup Jon, giving me some good ideas.
Lately I'm partial to brown or gumwall tires, but all-black tires look
great on the sage Sams, like Joe mentioned. The cream fenders are a great
touch.

Dan, thanks for the generous offer on the VO clips, but I think if I want

Thanks for all the replies. I ended up buying some of the MKS Cage Half

more miles in the city today.

Wouldn't the JoeApp accept canti brakes? Then you could use road levers

I really like having the cross levers on my drop bars it's reassuring to

Bummer. Well thanks for the info Keith.
I just now made an adjustment that might help: I tilted the Mark's bar up

Yeah the B135 sounds like it would be a good fit, except for the
limited width. 45cm in itself is almost wide enough, but that's measured c

Thanks for all the replies. I tried out some noodles at the LBS and

If you are using mountain brake levers (only choice, right?) then put those
on first. They will dictate how far the shift cable can run under the grip
