I think too kids just have growth spurts at different ages. My younger son was
shorter than average until his senior year of high school and now at 20 he’s
about 6’1”. His older brother was taller than average until high school and is

I bought and sold a Clem recently and took quite a hit but thought it was a
fair price. The asking price on this one factors in the regret but seems too
high. Most buyers seem to keep their own saddles and pedals so the only added
value is the rack. I doubt it will sell for $1,600 but we will s

The Cheviot looks like an excellent design and seems to be well loved by those
who own one. The Clem H wil be my first Rivendell bicycle and I’ll have to wait
awhile to even think about n+1. I thought seriously about the L version but I
like the looks of a top tube.

My Clem arrived today and I got it assembled. It has a one bolt stem to
handlebar connection. The bars slip if I put my weight on so I’m wondering how
much to tighten the bolt.
It’s a sweet looking bike, Grilver with cooper tape on the bars. The front
wheel is out of true which is a little agg

I haven't had a kickstand on a bicycle since...I don't remember when. My
Mongoose BMX didn't have one back in the 80s and none since have been
adorned with one. But, I now see that equipping a bike to be self
supporting is logical and convenient. My plan is to order the Pletscher one

This seems like misanthropic behavior. I saw that phrase on Rivendell's
website in the returns section and laughed a little. I like the idea of
good customer service but the customer needs to play fair too.

The listing says this has stainless steel tubes with aluminum lugs and was
marketed for use near the ocean where rusting is a problem. Has anyone seen

I was just looking over the specs for the new Clem H and noticed they are
using Alex DM 24 rims. According to the Alex website these are E-Bike rims.
It made me wonder what makes a rim an E-Bike rim? Is it just marketing or
is there something in the design that makes it more suitable for an E-bi
