I have a 2007 Rambouillet, which I purchased new from RBW. Now that I've
gotten into "senior" range I find that I'd like to pedal more upright, so
I'm considering putting Albatross bars on it. I don't see many Rams with
anything but Noodle bars, so I'm wondering if it's just a bad idea.

I have a set of black Power Grips that are virtually new. I used them for
maybe a mile, but they didn't work for me the way I'd hoped.

While riding my Ram this morning I crossed paths with a couple going the
opposite direction. The man, riding a Co-Motion road bike slowed down and
shouts to me, "Hey, I used to have one of those!" In response, I yelled
back, "One of what?", to which he replied, "A Schwinn Varsity!"
I said, "D
I have a set of black PowerGrips, complete with all hardware, that I'd
like to see go to a new home. I tried them for a few test rides (like
less than three miles) and they're just not for me.

I've been wondering...
Because a lot of Riv discussion seems to focus on pedaling free and
finding the perfect pedal for doing so, is there some reason BMX-style
pedals aren't more frequently considered? I use the MKS RMX Sneaker
pedals, as do many of you, but I've often wondered about why so man
I thought the group might like to have a look...
A friend of mine is parting out a 1981 Specialized Sequoia on ebay.
His descriptions are good and prices are right.

My friend is just about done selling off the parts bin in the garage.
He asked if the RBW group would like a shot before he tries his luck
on ebay.
He recently parted out a Specialized Sequoia (lugged steel) from the
80s and wants to sell the Cinelli bars and stem as a set. He is also
very tired
I have a pair of black Power Grips that I just don't care for. I
bought 'em, installed 'em on one of my spare bikes, but I just
couldn't get happy with them. I think I used them less than 10 miles,
and they're like new. $20, Priority CONUS shipping included.

This morning I took the Ram out for a ride on the Sacramento River
Trail in Redding, California. I stopped for a quick rest at the
diversion dam overlook. I came to a stop along the railing and looked
out at the rushing water, then I looked down at my handlebar, which

A buddy of mine is selling his 80s Blackburn Lowrider front pannier rack on
ebay. He asked if "any of those Riv guys would be interested in a rack".
Made me laugh.

Seth got this started, so anyone else who's done it, show your stuff!
I got my Riv poster double matted and framed about a week ago. I used a
dark brown wooden frame, medium charcoal grey matting over a thin dark
olive-brown mat. I have it hung on a green wall, and the whole thing looks

My best friend is repainting and rebuilding his 70s era Mercian Vincitore.
In his quest to renew this great bike, he has decided to part with the old
bits. He was about to list a bunch of stuff on ebay, so I asked him to let
me first see if the group has any interest. He hasn't taken any p

geek out on all those beautiful bikes for a couple days.
Anyone else from this collective planning on going? It might be nice to
connect names and faces. I'm thinking about wearing my little RBW pin so
any Rivvers might see it and say "Hey!"

Last chance to connect with like-minded Riv-heads. ANYONE else gonna make
it to the show? If you do, try to make yourself known. A pin, a t-shirt,
a hat. Maybe you're a Yehuda look-alike. It would be fun to meet folks
from the group. I don't know about you, but I plan on taking way too man
Time to clean out some bike goodies. I have a pair of Shimano SPD-SL
cycling shoes, model # SH-R 097W in size 7.5 (Euro 41). They've hardly
been used; probably ridden under 40 miles and are in really nice
condition. They currently have my old Look cleats on them, but will take
SPD, too. Tec
I have a 2007 Rambouillet. It came stock with Araya 540 rims and Shimano
105 hubs (as did many, if not most Romuli). They've been decent, sturdy
wheels. Not to heavy, stayed true, etc. Today I had a fall (not a crash)
which resulted in warping the rim. I was able to put the wheel on a truin
My JBs have about 3k on them. How many miles are people getting out of
their greens? I only ride pavement and the rear is starting to look
square. They are still performing wonderfully and have only had a couple of
thorn flats each. I'm thinking of getting a new one and doing the Sheldon
