I don't know why Grant took you up that steep road when he knows there is a
lovely gently sloping single-track that takes you up to the top of that ridge!

Glad to hear you are enjoying the bike. It will serve you well. The bar tape is
the standard black cork tape RBW sells. It just has a lot of sweat and Shell
Ridge dust worked in to give it that nice finish.

I used one with Silver bar-end shifters and never quite overcame the ingrained
memory from using Suntour Bar-coms but it did shift crisply. I tried one on a
bike with down-tube shifters and changed back to a high-normal RD after one
ride as I couldn't do my normal one-handed double-shift at all.
Sold!
