The challenge with this situation is finding a “Riv” like solution. When I had
the same need as you, I was looking at a DMR Defy 50 stem. Threadless, 50mm
(available in 35mm too) and 5mm of rise. It looks good in a robot CNC machined
sort of way but not in a lugs and leather sort of way

I liked the Voyageur Hypers in 38. They’re slick, so I’d lose traction going
uphill in gravel or dirt. They have an excellent ride on flat gravel or
smoother surfaces. They were also less than $20/tire. For rougher trails I’d
like to try the gravel King’s or Steilacoom tubeless. I always end up

Has anyone had any luck putting aero extensions into albatross bars? I love my
upright position 80% of the time, but on long hauls I sometimes like to lean
into it and spin. Grips just forward of the bend would help immensely with
this.

albas). The problem with this isn’t width for me but that it’s awkward to
control the bike with my forearms. Just a little something to grab onto would

Many people rode 2.4 tires on rims with 19mm internal width before wider rims
really caught on. Some people will tell you it makes it harder to lower
pressures without sidewalks folding, but that is less relevant with tubes.
You’ll probably get pinch flats before that happens.

owner (can't remember his name), but he was extremely helpful. I asked if it
would be a problem for them to check spoke tension prior to shipping them out.

I have a pugsley running 26x4, and Im not sure cost is the right word regarding
climbing. The traction is unbelievable (a good thing) as is the ability to roll
over obstacles. Another facet in the GBW’s favor would be the long chainstays.
