Thanks, Tom; these look great, too. I want to see the rack "in person"
before I buy it, so I'll put this one on my list to check on!

Hi folks,
Wondering if anyone has an early Rambouillet (orange, with the sharper
lugs) in a 54cm that they are thinking about moving along?
I have a 56cm that is a little on the large side and am thinking I'd ride a
54 more. Also happy to explore a trade +/- $ depending on condition, etc.

Well, there's a happy ending, Adrianna! Thank you for sharing.

Great news, Adrianna! I'm happy for you.
I can't really tell from the resolution of the photo, but it looks like it is
just the decals that were painted or marked over. If they used a Sharpie pen,
acetone should remove the pen markings without damaging the paint job (but test
in a small area to
Glad you got it back!

Hi Adrianne,
I am very happy for you that you got back your beloved Rivendell Road
bicycle after it was stolen. You can rest and sleep better now that it is
back in your procession.
My kind regards,
Kim Hetzel.

Hey Andrew and Adrianna,
Also, to remove Sharpie pen you can color over the Sharpie with white-board
marker. This will remove Sharpie with no damage to paint or decal. A trick
I learned from a 3rd grade student.

Congratulations Adrianna! I’ve been watching for your bike at swap meets and
everywhere I ride and walk, so I’m very happy you got it back!
With regards to removing Sharpie: DO NOT use acetone! Acetone will remove the
clearcoat, decals, and the Rivendell enamel paint. Acetone is one of the

+1 on the Hollywood Sport Rider as a good, low cost tray-style hitch rack
for fendered bikes and swoopy frames. The 2 bike option is pretty light as
well so easy to wrangle on and off the car. Swagman makes a similar rack,
the XTC. I own both: Sport Rider for 2 bikes, XTC for 4 bikes. Ironically
