Anyone here had a knee replaced? How long till you could ride again?
My right knee is killing me. I've put it off as long as I could. It's
almost time.

Indeed. I once reset the rear dropout width on a frame using a long 2x4; a
string tied to one of the dropouts, wound around the head tube, and tied to
the opposite dropout; and a caliper. Worked just fine.

As someone with osteoarthritis in both knees, I feel your pain.
No knee replacements yet. So far, a change in diet and rehab has delayed it.

If your budget allows, you’ll likely be more satisfied with the Paul levers
over the long run. The IRD levers are OK, but the difference in quality is
obvious in person. Also, I’m not big on the fact that the IRD is IMO too
much of an obvious knock off of the Paul. YMMV.

Rusty, no, I’ve never seen both at once. According to the internet it *can*
be done, but you need to have some specific things going your way to get
your surgeon to say yes.

I would say the Appaloosa. I don't know the tube specs on the Hunqapillar
but I've seen them for one run of the Appaloosa and I'm pretty sure the
Hunq has lighter tubes.
Last time I looked at Appaloosa geometry in my size (54-55cm), the
