Nice looking bike Eric. The Clem can handle riders of all shapes and sizes
and looks like the perfect Bicycle SUV. Albeit a safe and ecologically
friendly one. :)

Leah,
Long day at work for me too. After FIVE straight video meetings I checked
the Riv Garage sale and saw two awesome Clems for sale. I picked the green
color with the 1x10 drivetrain. The Cliffhanger wheels are heavy but I

It is amazing to me how much people ignore body proportions when choosing
bicycle components. PBH and torso length are not a constant ratio. I have
short legs and a long torso - several standard deviations from average.

Two Cetma racks for sale that I've been hoarding for a while. I recently

Leah,
Don't approach the front door! Ha. I'm honored that you rode the Clem today
in anticipation of my inaugural Clem ride. I am planning a Dyno upgrade for
it but that will be at least six months down the road. I may get a set of
road tires for it but the Terravail Ehline should be okay for no
Doug, if I could do it all over again, I would have a 1x drive train. But I
didn’t know about such things then, so I have the double with the trouser
guard.
I think your current wheels are probably fine. They’re better than the stock
wheels, which were horrible. Also, which green is that Clem?
It is the new batch of lime-green framesets. Looks great on my screens so
I'm hoping it will in person as well. I've had single speed bikes and a
couple with 1x and am now officially a convert to simplicity.

Joe,
What's your guesstimate on how much my Clem will weigh? I'm thinking 32
pounds??? Weight obviously wasn't a factor in my decision to buy it but I
am curious.

Doug, I think 32 lbs. is about right. These babies can get pretty stout
when loaded up Full Riv Style but parts missing here: racks, fenders, one
derailer, one shifter, one chainring. Every ounce counts and this one is
missing a lot of them!

Of course! If you'll ride both (yes) and one will be built up for a
slightly different mission (probably) then I see no reason why not. In fact
I'm currently down to one Riv and it's just not right!

Hi Eric,
Not sure if you'll entertain splitting things up, but I'd like to buy the
size L shorts. Are they black or green? I couldn't tell from the post.
Thanks,

Being that I haven't received an offer to trade for a silver set I'll sell
these for $60 + shipping. Shipping should not be more than $5 so the total
cost to you is $65 for a lightly used set.

For sale is a gently used Sackville saddlebag in olive. I'm pretty sure
this is the medium SaddleSack, which has evolved into the current
HappiSack. Includes kangaroo pouch. No real issues to mention: some wear
on the bottom leather, but the bag has seen limited use. Pictures are
available
The first version had curvy chain stays (starlight?), steeper head angle
and less rear tire clearance.
2nd version had chain stays with one curve, more tire clearance, and plus
.5 degree on the head angle.
Both were Toyo built.

Sofia,
I bought a Clem frame and have been riding it for a couple months,
it’s one of the best utility bikes I’ve owned.
I have 60mm tires on it now and it will easily fit 70s.
I lucked into being on the waiting list for a Platypus and recently built
it up.
It easily fits 55mm tires.

Analog seems to be the only ones out there with a steel product, but I'm
not looking for so much stack. Does anyone know of a 35-40mm steel mtb
threadless stem out there with a 31.8 clamp?
Thanks
