If you are looking for plush and comfort you should seriously consider
going with a bigger tire. 48mm with fenders will work really well on the
Appaloosa or MIT Atlantis.
The current best tire in this category is the Rene Herse Switchback Hill.
In whatever durability you feel most appropriate.
Thanks Dave. Using BSP now and also have the 48’s on my list.

As an owner of a Redwood, I liked the description of the Redwood for sale.

That set of brakelevers is the best brake lever set you can possibly run on
albatross bars or other similar uprights, provided your bike does not have
V-Brakes**. The reason they are the best is that the clamp takes up the
least space. All other brakelevers are ridiculously overbuilt and take
They're regular levers. I can't remember the model name/number and don't see it
stamped on them.
Nobody jumped at that price so let's try $20 shipped.

I went to test ride that 58cm quickbeam today. It is in great shape, but
the IGH needs some adjustment. I don't have enough experience with them to
know exactly what that entails, but I'm sure it's probably easily achieved.
1500$ seems a little too steep to me so I decided against it.

I feel compelled to update this thread with the photo of the two prototype
Gallop's from the RBW email today; built up one and the orange frameset.
The orange one sells it for me a lot more. I still think it should be
built around 650x47 instead of 700c, but maybe it's meant to replace the
