Oops -- never mind! I see that it's the made-in-Taiwan frame (so,
crazy-long chainstays and top tube...). Cheers!

Just wanted to ask if anyone has fit a 55mm Compass Fleecer Ridge up front
on a S. Hillborne? My 43mm Rock n' Road has a ton of space around the fork
crown, just wondering why be limited to what can fit in the back?
Thanks!

Hello all, I am going to crosspost this to bob, RBW and 650B groups.
I don't want to buy one of these until I know what will really fit me and
if it will be more comfortable for my back than my Bleriot. I live near
Springfield, MA so anyone within 2 hours or so.

My wife has a 51cm Appaloosa and we're about 2 hours and 20 minutes west of

We have some nice dirt roads to ride around here!

Hi Joel,
My wife just picked up a 51cm Bassi Hog's Back from Analog Cycles, she
loves it, I'd suggest giving it a look. Analog just finished a 55cm
Hillborne with Bosco bars for me, really can't get anymore upright than
Bosco's. I'm close by in Amherst. You might want to reach out too Analog,
Brad, let me know if you got my PM to you, it does not show here. Thanks

Thanks again, Julian. For the Kelpies, I plan (God willing) to have
Chauncey braze on aftermarket strut bosses some-way up the fork legs, both
so that the trailing part of the fender moves away from the tire if it
should be caught and dragged up toward the crown, and also so that the

Yes, and I put it on my watchlist just to see what it sells for. There are
lots of people watching so I expect it to be bid up pretty high. Maybe to
$1200? We'll see.

Nothing frivolous about a highly discounted bike score. Especially a perfect

depreciation or passing the bike along to just eliminate the guilt of having to
look at a neglected bike that does not get taken out fo
I wonder if it is partly the inferior quality of metal used in the small
bits these days that make products like this more susceptible to this kind

ends. That could also be due to design difference, but I thought the GC E
That is such a gorgeous bike! And at that price, with those components, it
is an absolute steal. I am waiting for Leah to weigh in. I suspect she is
going to be jealous of the sparkle red paint job.

and the Gran Compes are identical—probably made in the same factory—and they
seem to have failed in the exact same way.
