Thank you Joe, that is exactly the information I needed. Besides the tab

Going from a 35 lb bike to one in the low 20s is a reduction of what say 13
lbs, or over 33%. Start from the lighter bike and the increase is over 50%.
That is a fairly extreme comparison.
The RBW page states a 55 Roadeo frame is just under 4 lbs. In the pre MIT

My perhaps ill informed view is that once you get reasonably stiff more

I doubt many folks really "need" a custom. But there are loads of reasons
to want one, and if you can pay for it why not? There are lots of worse
ways to spend ones money.
I'd think the main reason to get one is wanting geometry and/or a mix of

Hehe, yeah, "need" is probably the wrong word in the thread title. It's more
like this: If you use your bike every day and would like certain features and a
certain look and you have the cash, pay up! A Riv Custom may be pricey, but
it's a heckuva lot cheaper than a new car.

To be honest, James, I'm getting closer to that minimalist ideal. I've bought

Thanks for the input. I’ve never used either much, and I’ve been riding single

I’ve been buying stuff from Joe B. and chatting by text with him about Riv
