That's interesting advice, masmojo. I pictured the bracket being stiffer, but
they're very light so I bet you're right that it should be pretty easy for her

Yes, Joe is right, the bracket is much stiffer than I anticipated. I really
thought I’d be able to bend that sucker into place, but it’s fairly unyielding.

The Chev is often misunderstood as a cruiser/tourer-type bike because of the

My experience is different. For me both Clem L and Cheviot are similar
regarding effort to speed ratio. I have not found the Cheviot any speedier
than the Clem. The Clem does better in rough stuff and is an equal on the
road. Cheviot is easier to mount and dismount with load. Both are NOT bikes
I missed out on the original ad (bummer), but this new clem seems like a
fine bicycle.

mountian biking and adventurous around town ridding. The Wavie bar is also
great at those tasks but also much more comfortable on long rides since it

I would argue that you're a very experienced rider doing high mileage days on

That was my impression, too. Which is why on the other thread, I thought
AHH/Chev combination would be great complimentary bikes. I could see

One of the few Rivs I've never owned or tried is Sam Hillborne. Its direct
predecessor was the Bleriot, which was the first Taiwan version of the
Toyo/MUSA Saluki/AHH. I've owned all of those, they all had road calipers and I
