Dura-Ace wheelset. These wheels are a bit out of the ordinary, being
sturdier and ready for wider tires than many other Dura-Ace wheels
If you are grooving the grips for the cable, put the glue only under the bottom
of the grip so the groove in the cork has some structural strength? (Or
hairspray.)

clearance, try a set of center pull brakes, if you are not using them

Two points about Ergon "cork" grips: Not really cork, it's "cork look", and
they work great on swept back bars. There's one designed specifically for those
bars, but I've found that all Ergons work on them.

More power to ya if you're committed to a front basket - Riv staff use them -
but Rivs are optimized for rear loads and I don't like 10 pounds of floppy
steering up front. In your case I would use a Nitto R14 rack, and saddlebag or
basket on the rear.

Yea, that fillet brazed stem is sweet! I don't have any bikes that use

When I ran Berthoud's, I did not need a second stay like I do on the VO
(alloy) fenders. They are stiffer and don't flop so much. YMMV.

Front loads make my Bleriot and Rambouillet wobbly up front.
I rode a couple years with front rack and Berthoud bag but now that I have
had no front loads for a while, having returned to a front rack and load on
my Rambouilet, I don't like it anymore. It was fine when I was enthusiastic
about it
I saw that bike in person at the shop and I must say I thought it was
absolutely beautiful. I too have a 62cm Sam which I love. It's currently
undergoing a makeover and James helped me with a really nice wheel build. I
will post pictures soon. Glad you found success with working with Analog.

I'm finding the three S's troublesome, and the lack of a D, an R or an M
rules out a lot of things. The only dirt or earth variant I can think of
is SOIL, but they already played with SOIL in the BLAHG, so that's probably
out, like BOWELS.
