Decided to do some exploring around my home. Road over to Big Tujunga Canyon and rode up Oro Vista Rd a private drive with access to the Western part of the Angeles National Forest. I had wanted to to catch Conover Fire Rd but ended up on some steep single track which finally connected to the B

When I used glue, Riv recommended Gorilla glue mentioned above. Based on forensic analysis of the broken grips appears the glue did not adhere evenly between the cork and bar (user error a readily acknowledged possibility). Rotating to remove caused uneven pressure leading to the breakdown.
