Hi all,
My wife never warmed up to her rambouillet (she only rode it about 200
miles - go figure!), so now I'm looking to see if anyone might be
interested in it as a trade for a larger riv. that I could use on fire
roads, trails, etc.
The Ram. is in excellent condition with just a few small pain
Took my Quickbeam out for a ride to Sacramento on this foggy morning. Snapped
a few pictures along the way:

I have (somewhere) a "poor man's thread chaser". I took an old set of
Shimano cartridge BB cups and carefully Dremeled (using a cutting wheel) a
3mm or so "notch" across the threads in 2 locations. Thread the cups into
the frame and any gunk from the shell should be "caught" in the notch.

Hi there,
We'll be in Southern California visiting family over the holidays and are
thinking of bringing our bikes (Hunqapillar and a Rawland Drakkar). Can
anybody recommend some nice trail rides or areas for an S24O?
We were also considering doing an S24O (or day ride) in Joshua Tree - has
That sounds good. Thanks Pete.

Hi Lauren, SoCal is a big place, where you you going to be staying?
There's great riding from Ventura to San Diego, if it's not a hassle, I'd
definitely bring a bike along! I can recommend where to ride inland, but
there are experts on the other areas.

It doesn't get as foggy here as it used to be, probably the result of being
built up more. Kind of fun when it does.

I have a nylon bottle brush that works really well. I splash some mineral
spirits on it, and go to work:

Yeah, that rings true for me as well.
I lived about 20 years in Napa and 20 years in the Berkeley area, and
I often think on how there just doesn't seem to be that thick, close
fog with 30 yards visibility like when I was younger. I remember as a
teen, I'd often drive by watching the tail lights o

Not beats Black Friday shopping, then not actually shopping on Black
Friday! Instead of waking up at the crack of dawn to buy things for
myself, I got to spend it with my girlfriend riding around Coyote
Hills. I've been meaning to take her on this 20ish mixed trail ride
for a while, but I really wa
