Mission/Civic Center/SoMa as that is where so many of the bikers reside and

rash of Richmond/Inner Sunset bike thefts and made steps to secure
them. All three bikes where ulocked to each other and the bunch was
tethered to a beam in my garage. Two other bikes where in the garage,
unlocked and untouched.

that Riv had both Rims and Tires on hand. It's a Schwalbe tire that they
had/have. If you look at the Schwalbe site I think they have only one 609
model.

I have Riv's "Jack Brown" Blue Label 33.333mm width tires mounted on
Mavic MA-2 rims (Inner Bead Width: 13.8mm, Outside Rim Width:
20.3mm). The Mavic MA-2 700c/622mm 36 hole rims were re-sized to a
26" 32 hole mountain bike rim by Keith Bontrager in the day, so I
assume it should handle a 700c ti

57 degrees this morning for me. First time I wore my Woolly vest over a long
sleve regular (non-wool) jersey and a thin Craft sleeveless first layer.

Are you going to swap the dyno wheel between bikes as well? If so i
think Scott G's arrangement is the easiest to move back and forth,
other-wise you'll need to have disconnects at both ends for the wiring
on each bike.
I've got a number of the mounts mentioned here, the VO QR end mount,
I won't post the weather report because ours is dismal this week. But I
just wanted to say that your post is inspiring and I can identify in a vague
sort of way. Happy for you and I wish you enjoyment of your bike and

Paselas (700x35) and pumped them up to 80 psi. I'm thinking of making

I think the effectiveness of bicycle registration depends greatly on
where you live and the level of enforcement and follow-up your local
police are committed to. In Portland, I tend to lock up my bike with
both a U-lock and cables and advise everyone else to do the same,

You need to use the anti-corrosion grease made for electrical
connections available at your friendly NAPA auto parts store. This
will cut down on the problem significantly when you get a new
connection piece. Is there enough of the old connection to lead solder
a new tab that you can hand fabricate
I would set up one bike for the generator lighting for now and not
touch it. Get another light system for the other bike or use it in
warmer weather. When you start connecting and disconnecting routinely
you are asking for problems IMHO.
