So I am currently still looking as that seller decided to try and raise his
asking price after posting it.

And honestly if the price was right I might be willing to sell some musical
gear to hit up a used Hunqapillar or Atlantis or such. I am primarily going
to be using this on mildy rough to easy trails.

As part of my October New England Nomadic Sojourn, I'm working on the

combine train, boat and bike.
Day One would start with a pedal from some point in Boston to So
I'm remembering (correctly, I hope) that in 1999 when I received my LL

sidepulls. I'll look at the original correspndence to verify.

Those pedals look interesting. I may have to try them out. What I was
really excited to see on the Ergon website was the TPI Pedal Cleat
Tool. http://www.ergon-bike.com/us/en/product/tp1

OK - Found the reference to aesthetics. It's in RR35, pages 38 - 41. "Not
the Last Word About Bike Looks". Apologies if you' don't have the issue or

I guess I rarely worry about calf scraping since I usually wear heavy
denim long pants and don't usually ride off road. Sunshine is rare up
here too especially this year and I have only worn shorts three
times. : ( but yea that looks like it hurt a little. Seriously
does this happen often..
I used BMX pedals with pins before the Grip Kings came out, and that
was one of the downsides. The more aggressive the gription the better
it works when wet, but the more damage it can do in casual contact.
Most of my scrapes were encountered handling the bike such as carrying

I live on the Cape . I've done the rides you're talking about . It's
a great time to do it . The tourists have all gone away until next
summer . I would be interested in doing the cape cod vineyard part.
Also have a few friends that might want to do it .

This sounds like a really interesting trip. I think it would be worth
taking the train up to Boston for.

That 6 degree wedge is very aggressive for an alignment adjustment. The
Specialized body geometry shoes have only a 2 degree wedge. Looks to me
like you will feel like you are slipping off the pedal. The 2 degree angle
in the Specialized shoes was a huge benefit for me as my inner Knee pain
I am potentially in - depending on life's other demands.

That's a beautiful bike! I love the Molteni-ish orange (but not crazy about
the dark head tube). And it has a relatively horizontal TT. Yay!
Unfortunately (or fortunately for my wallet), it isn't my size...

My '99 LongLow (built for sidepull brakes) was built by Joe Stark. But I
have seen late '90s LongLows made with canti posts. -- Forrest

This is weird. Reading RR #8 today (Jan 97)...I've got these things
