I have a lightly used polished aluminum SON 28 32h hub to trade for
either a polished aluminum SON 28 36h or SON 20R 36h. There are at

I did a 300k last year and one of the riders completed it riding on
his homemade folding bike with 20" wheels wearing wool trousers and a
pair of Oxfords. Here's a picture from a 100k although these trousers
appear to be cotton.

This article seems like one argument for using the "Rivendell" stickers on
the downtube more liberally, instead of limiting it to the customs. Would
have been a good bit of free advertising.
Sure would be nice if they'd do this with the "Roadeo". Sigh.

I have a Paul Flatbed that I'm not using in case someone else is
interested. I will offer it for the same price, or less for a local
pickup.

Hi, group,
I just installed a set of tektro R538 "big mouth 57" brake calipers on
my wife's Ebisu which should take 700x28C tires with fenders. However,
because the bottom of the caliper arms stick out below the brake bolt
quite a bit to further limit the tire clearance. Currently the bike

Hi, Tim. I was second on that one; maybe I'll do better here. Let me know.

Chris Bishop - a Baltimore frame-builder - just let me know that the
replacement fork for the Proteus single is ready to pick up, and took
some photos. Lot's of shop-shots of work in progress, which is very
cool. Check out the nice bends on those 531 blades! Here's a link to

Yes Franklyn, you make perfect sense to me.
Many of us have read GP's thoughts on placing the brake hole, and his
belief that a lower hole extends brake clearance. For single pivot
brakes this is completely true because the brake arms stay at or above
the pivot/bolt. But dual pivot brakes, as y
Michael,
thanks for the advice, that's helpful. The paul racers reach range is
57mm and larger, and her bike's front brake reach is 52mm, so the
racers won't work. I know for sure that there was one prototype Paul
made for Rivendell that had shorter reach (i have pictures from a

Hey Leslie,
That might have been mine. I've seen one other QB (orange, I think)
in passing since I moved here last month. I had been looking forward
to RMBS for a while, but a crazy busy weekend keep me away. Look
forward to seeing your pics!

Hello,
I am on the hunt for a 56 Rambouillet Frameset. Or a Romulus (I know
they were odd sized, I would be looking for a 57).
I'd love to just buy a frameset, I have enough parts at home to build
up four bikes at this point, and am willing to pay a reasonable price
as well as shipping. I also

I know they were selling several left-over Rambouillet framesets.
Some of the left-over frames were size 56. You'd probably have to
call them to see if they still ha
