Same here. I gave up the diapers two years ago with my first B-17 saddle on a
new Bleriot. That was in early October of '07 and did the Claxton Century in
November. Not a problem. Plain old cotton skivvies and whatever loose fitting
pair of shorts I have. Haven't worn diaper shorts since.
I usually wear the MUSA green shorts (which are excellent) w/ the
hanes or icebreaker product. But for longer rides, these are pretty
good: http://www.andiamounderwear.com/

I rode my 65cm Hilsen through last year's brevet circuit. While I
never carried a rear rack or panniers, I often carried a large
handlebar bag (similar to the Ostrich bags) on a marks rack up front.
The bike and baggage performed flawlessly. However, I've always had a
bit of front wheel shake with
Since when can you order heftier tubing on a Hilsen? Like the Rom, Ram, Luki,
Beam, and new Taiwan projects, I thought all the details were set in stone by
RBW, except paint, which might be available at an upcharge (if they approve of
the color)
From: Bob H.
I ordered my Hilsen when they were still being produce at Waterford,
so they apparently had some flexibility, especially with the tubing.
It was a slight upcharge. I'm pretty sure the standard tubing would
handle my brevet loads, but I wanted something that was a little
beefier for light touring w

I need a seatbag support to level my Carradice Nelson and Baggins Little Joe on

falling out of the pockets on the Carradice, I need to level it up, what works
best?

Nice looking setup! I presently ride a competing brand with a
threadless stem and currently have the bars set fairly close (9cm
stem) so I need a 12cm stem with about a 105 degree rise to get them
where I need them. I love the cork grips and when the grips are closer
to you and not even that high,
Just a side note, the Waterford blue is different than the Toyo blue.

How different?!
I've seen the Toyo ones and couldn't tell that they were different from
my Waterford frame. But I didn't have my bike with me to compare
side-by-side.

No shim necessary, at least not on the old classic Dia-Compe levers, just
tighten away!
A good position occurs where the outside of the lever and the outer part of
the bar handle form a line parallel with the top tube - helps to lean agains
a wall, in the absence of a nice Pletscher kickstand.

My Waterford Hilsen blue is a slightly lighter shade (but not as light as
powder blue) compared to the Toyo darker stronger blue I've seen. Sorry I can't
describe more exactly, but it looks really good, and I prefer it personally.
Maybe Riv can enlighten as to whether this is still the case.

No, they're referring to the Kevlar belt that is under the tread for
flat protection. The TG tire is available in both folding and wire
bead models.

I think maybe I wasn't clear. I know that the tourguards are the
folding kevlar models, but people say they prefer the non-tourguards.

is there some other model I don't know about? Thanks!

Sorry, but I need to refine the reply that I gave to your thread. I
believe that you're correct, the "non"-TG model of the Pasela does
have a steel wire bead. Only the TG model is available as an Aramid
bead folding model (in addition to a steel bead model).

When I say that, that's exactly what I mean.

The Velo Orange support is well made and well designed, and costs
about $45 and clamps to the seatpost. I use it for the Nelson on my
29er, and it works well.

Circ is Two Pi R. So, 3.14 x the radius (easy to measure, hub center

When I measured my JB Blues on Mavic Open Pro rims, I got 2140 mm.

My MUSA shorts arrived this week and I lived in them this weekend.
Everything Grant says about them is true. Instead of the tight black
spandex pants, I rode in the MUSA with an Endura CoolMax lightly
padded liner and it was great. For some reason the light padding is
