Yes, RJM is correct: the Phil Rivy hub is freewheel. You'd be limited to a 7-speed freewheel on the Phil. If you want to run 9 speeds on the rear, you need a cassette hub. The Phil cassette hub is almost $500, and is gorgeous. The mid-level Shimano hubs are ~$50-75, and perfectly ok. Nothing w
