I just rode RAGBRAI with exactly that combination (GK + Tevas) and had no
ill effects. It really just shows how different we all are.
I do wish I'd had something with toe protection in our tent city though as I
tore a toenail on a stake during a late night kybo run.

The Quickbeam has been sold (twice over now). I have those Milanos pictured
from 1992 or so though! Re-soled countless times, full re-build of the
lowers about five years ago. Worth every penny. I have some of the shoes
as well as three other sandal types. The shoes fit weird, really narrow.
David... I suppose that pic. was while you were vacationing in Oregon during
the winter?
now that you are living in SoCal you can wear your Ferragamos on your rides.
