Having sold 3 Richard Sachs frames (and traded another), I'm inclined to agree with Doug and Ryan. Very pretty frame but still only a Richie brazed Riv custom. Curt and Mark also extremely nice frames. This is my size - I recently had a chance to pick up a newer Sachs for $1700 - and I would

I think this is a pretty special bike and probably worth the asking price. How long it would take to sell at that price is anyone's guess but I think it would eventually sell. I can't imagine sellling it for less than $3500 if it was mine. We are talking about Richard Sachs... THE Richard Sachs.

Yes, this is what I was alluding to in my earlier comment. I don't think there would be an appreciable difference in design and construction because e-RICHIE brazed it. It's a very nice Grant-designed Rivendell. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW

It is a neat frame and an interesting part of Rivendell custom history. My issue is that it is not better in any way than a Joe Starck, Curt Goodrich or Mark Nobilette built custom. It is not a Sachs, I would bet the geometry is completely GP, but it's about double the going rate because RS built

One thing to remember is it's a full custom, so the original buyer was involved in the design, too. Grant is pretty strict about using the customer's expressed style of riding to create his vision of how that will look. I would be surprised if e-richie had any more input in the design than Starc
