No worries, Tom. I was hoping that we'd be close enough to allow a test ride. Unfortunately I'm still not confident enough in my size to take a gamble but best of luck with the sale! Someone is going to get a great ride. Ray On Monday, February 1, 2021 at 11:22:31 AM UTC-6 Tom Goodmann wrote:

HI, Ray; I should have included my location; I'll edit my post. I'm in Miami in zip code 33155. As I said, a while back I posted this bike for a slightly higher price and there was no interest in it. Things change! Well, I'll be happy if it goes to an appreciative new owner, and this is the best p

I'm curious to see your NOS Heron Road frame. If it's that wonderful sparkly blue-green color, it would melt my heart to see it again! Chris On Monday, February 1, 2021 at 11:36:50 AM UTC-5 Ray wrote: > I have to agree with Chris. I was surprised you weren't asking more for > it. It looks lov

I have to agree with Chris. I was surprised you weren't asking more for it. It looks lovely, and I have been considering adding an honest touring bike to my stable (though I certainly don't need another bike). Do you mind if I ask where you are located? Ray On Monday, February 1, 2021 at 10:1

Hi, Chris; I appreciate you writing--guess I should be asking for more for this bike! I won't refuse a higher offer 😁I've advertised it here before, and there was no interest at that time. I've really enjoyed it, but am trying to clear out things in every category in life; I have a Sam (55 with t

Nice build, Chris! What are those tires? Very impressive on this bike--and I like the Deore V-brakes idea; I might try that. Tom On Tue, Dec 11, 2018 at 5:35 PM Christopher Cote < christopherjamesc...@gmail.com> wrote: > Mine is set up with a mix of Shimano components, 9 speed indexed with > bar

Mine is set up with a mix of Shimano components, 9 speed indexed with bar-end shifters. I recently swapped the cantilever brakes out for Deore V-brakes. The braking performance was immensely improved. I could never get rid of brake shudder in the fork with cantilevers. Here's a slightly outdate

Chris, what's your set-up on the Heron? I agree; like anything Riv, you can ask so many things of this bike and one thing you always get is the joy of riding it. On Sun, Dec 9, 2018 at 6:36 PM Christopher Cote < christopherjamesc...@gmail.com> wrote: > I have the exact same bike, it is a really
