Thanks, Mark; they're not bad for tennis shoes, but I don't usually do tennis shoes. The Euxstars seem the best bet for now, since (1) they have that snobby Euro look and (2) they take SPD cleats, and I am thinking of jettisoning my principles and trying some DA 7400 SPD pedals. Great news; thanks. I am leaning toward re-soling the Rivats just because they look so retro-neat, but I do like the idea of putting a stiffener under the vibram of boat shoes. I do have very stiff leather (scraps from Brooks recovering, in fact) insoles but they do take up space. On Fri, Jan 15,
