It's not original, but I wouldn't relabel it as a Protovelo, because
the bicycle predates the invention of the Protovelo label, doesn't it?
Riv might even know the original colors, since they were able to find the
original invoice on it. Not that you couldn't pick your own, but it would be
interesting.

I sure wouldn't relable it--it's original as it sits, right? I'd keep it that
way...someday you'll be glad you did, I think. As will future scholars that
will write papers and delve deep into the history of the finest bicycles made
at the turn of the century.
