Can anyone tell me a reason not to throw a 34 tooth cassette on my road bike with a 53-39 tooth double? Anne- My wife and I also live in Colorado and both of us have triple cranks on our Roadeos. Debbie's gearing is a 24-36-46 crank with 12-28 cassette. My crank is 26-40-50 with a 13-29 cassette. So our low gears are quite low, mid-twenties in gear inches. Yes, we can find paved roads with
