Here's a picture of an LHT with a threaded threadless steerer tube. Not
sure if you can view the image without an Instagram account. In the
comments there's a discussion about the fork and stem.

Threading a steer tube is not a big deal with the right tools. It's not a
bike shop capability normally, but most framebuilders and metal working
shops have the right tools. Cut threads are plenty durable too, they are
used extensively all over the Space Shuttle Main Engines.
I've had it done
a threadless steerer can be threaded. it is debatable whether it should be
threaded. nice threaded steerers have rolled threads. shop tools cut threads.
my policy is to leave it be.

Here's a question that'll reveal my ignorance: can a threadless steerer

Does anyone know if we'll ever see another production run of Legolas
frames?
The threaded fork on the green Legolas is blowing my mind a bit. I remember
they were advertised as threadless only. The norm was not to have the option,
like with the Roadeo. But maybe they changed their mind. Or maybe that green
one was made more recently in the secret production mode.

Very fancy lugs on that unbuilt Legolas. Could it be a LINO (Legolas in Name
