Long ago I did, without fenders you'll have no issues.

Hey Dan, I have 700x40 marathon Duremes on my AHH and they easily fit, with
plenty of clearance. probably could fender it as well. If Schwalbe uses
the same measuremetnts for the Extreme as they do the Dureme, you should
have no problemo.hope this helps -Mike
