You are correct, Bill, that I have owned both QB and SO. However the SO
was a 56cm and I could never really dial it in to my liking and when I came
close, the aesthetic was off, to me. I ended up selling the SO, but

In September of 2022, when I was showing off my 58 Quickbeam build, you
stated explicitly that you have a 58 Simple One, and implied that you also
own a 58 Quickbeam. What's happened since then? Are you growing your
collection of singlespeeds? Or did you sell things and regret it? I'm
The Simpleone is sold, thanks for all your interest.

Interesting observation on the head tube, John. I wouldn't have caught
that.
I actually just purchased one from a list member, and should be up and
running in the near future. Ride pics and a new (old) bike day post to
follow, naturally...
Thanks!

Headtube looks pretty short for a 58cm Quickbeam. It appears to be measured
center to top. I'm not sure what actual size that equates to.

I have an "other". It's a 58cm custom Gunnar singlespeed, that the
original owner spec'd to copy the geometry of a Hillborne. Let me know if
you want to talk about it.
Here is a flickr album with lots of photos of my original build.

I have one, orange, three years old, still have the original box,
excelent shape, probably less then 500 miles. I was thinking $1050
shipping to be determined.

I don't have a quickbeam for sale, but thought you might be interested
in how I made my own QB out of a protobleriot frame (51cm sandblasted

like a charm. Light, mindless, comfortable commuter. You could do
