I want a set of these again. I actually don't even care about the width.
For the record I was correct earlier that I had found a set and then sold
them. I do not smart stuff a lot. :)
Anyone have one of these they would like to sell?

Oh tell me about it, Ryan. I sold and immaculate pewter Saluki frame because it
was a smidge too tall and I needed the cash. Bad idea!

Johnny you are definitely not an idiot for either behavior. Patiently searching
and waiting or pass something on prematurely. This list is full of "like
minded" souls. At least you only did it with bars. All who have done likewise
with full bikes or f/f/hs feel free to hang your head in shame
Haha. Well i was looking for 2 years or so. I did get a set back in 2015
and they sat around for awhile because I never finished the build I was
working on. I ended up selling them like and idiot. So now I have a need
again but I sold the stupid set that I had found.

I would still like a set of these. I think I found a set and then sold
them off without using them. I wish I had just kept them. I dont think I
ever got the set from Jim but doubt they are still around almost two years
later. :)

Does anyone have the scoop on why Nitto stopped making the Sobas? I love
everything about my Nitto bars except having to untape and dribble oil into
the clamp once a season to them from creaking.

I am still "semi" looking for a pair of these. I am OK with using the
Noodles I have if I can't find a set but would prefer the Soba. Like I
said I have a brand new set of noodles to trade plus some cash or will buy
them straight up!!

I think I would be open to a 46 if someone had one for sale. Maybe you want to
sell yours? :)

Hang in there!
I had 48 Noodles on my Ram, w/ a DuraAce stem that was a 120mm, which had me a
bit stretched out, and dint get quite as high as I liked; not bad, but But
it was the stem's creaking that motivated me to do something; I switched to a
110 Tallux stem, but while at it, I swapp
I know there has to be one of these around here somewhere. :)

I hope this clears up the confusion:
The picture in the flickr post shows a comparison between B177 Nitto Noodle

The bar on the top of the pic is the Dirt Drop with the clamp sleve, flat
bar and wide flare. - size 48 (of 46, 48, and 51 opt

That bar on top isn't the Soba Nitto 177-LT. It looks like a 176 on

not true, Soba's came in 42,44, and 46cm wide. I have a pair of 46's but
all the others I've found were smaller sizes.

I read a reference that Sobas only came in 46cm.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/rperks1/4858141165/ This photo shows they're
wider in the drops.

Sobas were a different version of the Noodles. I believe they were lighter
and didn't have the engraved step up that the Noodles have.

FYI @ Michael: the Soba is a 'light' version of the Noodle; same curves,
didn't come in a 48.
I had 48 Noodles on my Ram, swapped it down to the 46 Soba. The 48 Noodles
are now going onto the cantiRom...
@William: I don't need 'em, but I'd almost be tempted to get them to
squirrel aw
Not sure which bar is the Soba. Is that the same as Mark's bar on the riv
sight? In any case I have a nearly new 42 cm Marks Bar and another Nitto
bar (Model 356) which has a bend about half way between marks & Noodles in
44cm. Would be happy to sell either.
