I've done most of that tour from McKinleyville to the SF Airport . One of
the best in the US. Lot of nice microbreweries along the way too. I'd
love to do it again.
Maybe you add some low riders and front panniers? That would take some of
the load off the rear wheel.

Reminds me of my ride last month... I got the rear rack mounted and the
Noodles taped just the night before leaving... and made adjustments the
first couple days as things settled in.
