Don't think the sackville shopsack will work out without a basket. The
handles aren't all that long to be able to hook around handlebars. I've
got the large and it's a great size for my farmers' market shopping - and
probably a tad too big for my morning commutebut works out when I hit
up
It looks like it would be fairly easy to sew in new straps that were
longer. In fact the way the bag is constructed you could do a number
of handle / strap mods. I could see the cotton webbing straps that
Lesli spoke of, or even leather handles.

Love mine, as well. It works perfectly with my medium Wald basket, and
also works well on my V-O porteur rack - though the dog snaps didn't
fit over the rails, so I had to add some split rings for that
particular application. Wonderful bag. I'm planning to buy another
one, just to have it on hand.

the SaddleSack Small and the SlickerSack have not yet found their way
to me and I am not attracted to the "grid" series). So it is no
