It wasn’t patience, it was procrastination and trying to figure out the
best way to bend the mild steel tubing.
The rack is not attached at the fork crown at all in the picture. I was
just happy to have the lower stays attached. It will move back an inch or
two.

That front rack is awfully far forward. With that giant platform, putting
anything large on there is putting a lot of stress on the tang that
connects to the fork crown (assuming that's how it's fixed - can't tell
from the photos).
Otherwise, a sweet looking rig!
