Late, but many thanks for your report and pics. I just got back to reading
and looking. That path really does have so many threads of American history
knit into it. I keep riding down that way for that reason and that it's 15
minutes from my door.

I lived in DC area for a few years. I regret not having spent more time
on C&O trail.
After reading about rain, mosquitos, mud and what not, now I might actually
go for the San Jose to LA ride I've b
My friend's knee is fine. It was simply the consequence of going too far too
fast. I think he is going to buy the 51cm Joe Appaloosa (once I get the wheel
fixed)!
Challenges make the adventure. Without them we would have no stories to tell.

Rain, mud, skeeters, fitting in trumpet practice. I bet it was very
satisfying to survive it all and learn how to do so.
