What i did the first night in Buffalo was get to the trailhead, rode a few
miles down the trail, found a quiet wooded area and setup. I setup late and
left early. There was no problem.

Marc, thanks for the report. I’m doing the same ride next month. I had a
question about wild camping. I had considered getting a hotel room the first
day when I arrive in Buffalo (my 20 YO son is dropping me off) would it be
possible to find a spot to camp along the path not far from Buffalo? I
Marc, thanks for your enjoyable ride report. I grew up in central NY along
the canal before there was a developed path. Fished and did a lot of
boating on the Seneca River. Glad your journey went so well. Your Hunq
setup is nicely put together too.
