Thanks for the tip--it looks like a very pure shade--quite nice!

Eric,
Your fixed gear efforts have been noticed.
I just finished assembling a fixed-fixed rear wheel for my Quickbeam
yesteday evening. I used an 18 tooth cog to keep the gearing the
same. I've never riden a fixie before...we'll see how this goes.

A few quick thoughts from a first-gen QB owner:
--Love the fork crown
--Nicer lug at the bottom of the head tube
--Don't like the silver color (I'm still partial to green)
--Don't like the "text-only" downtube decal
--Seat tube decal looks like it was thrown together at the last

The fork crown is definitely fancier than mine, and I like the seat tube
panel..

Paint is relatively cheap as is a new powder coating. I'd buy the bike
if it was bile green or barnyard brown as long as it was solid and
performed. Every bike I ride eventually gets thrashed so a new color
is a fun way to make something a little different and protect the
tubing for a few more yea
I hear you loud and clear but I cannot share your tears.

I know I'm being the iconoclast here, but even the new pictures don't
make me like the new colour scheme any better. The bike looks anemic
and the decals look almost half finished. This on the back of that
Betty Foy head badge makes me weep.

The bikes are generally photographed against the RBWHQ&L building, which
means that they are in serious open shade -
With all this talk of Quickbeams and beautiful things -- I finally
added Woody fenders to mine. There's a small chance of rain today,
and the installation almost ensures that there will not be a drop:

These are great bikes. I hope folks who
hated the orange QB until I saw it in personso I am holding off
judgment on the silver.
Silver and Blue is cool though.

I like the color scheme a lot! It reminds me of the classic Nishiki

Not so. There have been many folks who have setup an 8+ speed
