Yeah, those are tubulars. They are Vittoria Competition Rally. They say 23, but measure closer to 24mm. I'm interested in trying the Vittoria Pave model which goes all the way to 27mm, but at $100 apiece, I might wait a bit. On Apr 27, 8:35 pm, Aaron Thomas wrote: > Are these the tubulars? If

Are these the tubulars? If so, what are they and how wide are they? http://www.flickr.com/photos/45758191@N04/5635626588/in/set-72157626511175478 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. To post to this group, send email to rbw-owner

The "parting-out-the-old-parts" phase of this project is nearing completion. I bought the whole bike for $600. I've kept the Frame/Fork/Headset, the Bar/Stem, the saddle, the wheelset/tires, the cages and pump. I removed for resale most of the Campy Super Record bits: crankset, BB, Rder, Fder, shi

The clincher wheelset is on there now, with 700x27 Roly Poly tires and a 14-28 freewheel. http://www.flickr.com/photos/45758191@N04/5650333288/ On Apr 24, 8:32 am, William wrote: > Nice quality freewheels with a 28 or bigger are hard to come by, as > others on other threads on this board freque

Nice quality freewheels with a 28 or bigger are hard to come by, as others on other threads on this board frequently lament. I have a 14-28 6sp Shimanopore freewheel on the clinchers that will be revealed soon. I have a suntour perfect 6 speed in a 13-26 which might be delightful. The final gear

Nice bike William. I like the way these older standard gage 531C ride and hope it gives you a lot of joy. Why struggle with a 24; why not just go to a 27 or 28? My winter project was rebuilding a 1984 Trek 620. I spread the stays just so I could go to a cassette with a 12 cog, which allows for a

You parallelaterra zealots see flat drops wherever you look. Mine are not. My handlebars are adjusted to fit the rider, not the fantasy of a horizon. I'd estimate -3 degrees. On Apr 23, 4:53 pm, PATRICK MOORE wrote: > Pretty bike, and I note with satisfaction that you've got the ends of > the

Pretty bike, and I note with satisfaction that you've got the ends of the hooks parallel to terra firma as God commanded us. And the build is complete. The clincher wheelset isn't ready yet, but I did one shake-down ride on the tubulars, and was satisfied enough with the fit to wrap twine and shellac the bars. It's ready to ride! I'm amazed how un-low this bike was geared to start with. 42x21 was the lowest gear. I h
