Stutz also offered a Bearcat model, which would be a badass bicycle name.
I feel my Fitz SuperMoto could carry that name pretty well. Fitz Bearcat!

On the other hand, it will probably be a lot easier to spot a stolen

Naming vehicles after animals has a long tradition. While horses, cats, and
birds get the most attention, you could look at the upcoming Pl
Haha man, I thought platypus was a welcome return to form after the years of
human named bikes (some of which make me cringe).
I the logo, color and headbadge look great. I see no problem with the name.
I’ll take an interesting animal over a fictional human any day.

The decals & the prototype head badge are gorgeous; the name is a head

Cheviot was a stretch, but Platypus sounds like a self destructive
miscalculation.
I really don;t care about the name myself, but I hope your Platypus doesn't

I'm guessing it has a heavy dose of Chromium (the green I mean), I would mix
chromium with titanium buff. Beautiful color!

Seafoam is way more blue, and lighter. It’s like a 1950s color.
This is bluer than moss, but a similar value. I’ve got a plant in my yard with
leaves that color. It’s flowers are orangy-red bells.
I love the platypus, and these graphics are incredible.

To clarify I was suggesting putting the brake lugs on the underside of the
mid stays, not on the chainstays.
I don't think they would get gunked worse there than on the top as they are
on that prototype, and I would think the cable routing was cleaner that way.
YMMV of course.

I think the cable arrangement is fine the way it is. Putting brakes on the
chainstays attracts gunk; keeping them on the midstays and running the cable up
top would, I think, detract from the pretty line along the toptube. Where it's
situated now with the frame-pump stop envisions the brake wire

Please, please, please.
On the final design either put the v-brake studs on the bottom of the mid
stays or put the rear brake cable stops on the top of the "top" tube.
Brake cable should NOT cross the plane of the mid stays.

Let's hope they're not as difficult to see as the animal itself. In 40-odd
years of living in platypus territory, I've only seen them in the wild
three times.
And BTW, male platypus have poison spurs on their hind legs.

what *that* is)?
