Jamison, It is good of you to share these difficult issues with which you are dealing. I am desperately searching for a support group for owners of match-built Riv Roads AND maxway-built, green Sams with non-spotted forks. David jamison brosseau wrote: its funny those little differences. In fa

I will agree that the diagonal tube has always "puzzled" me and I didn't like the fact that it wasn't going all the way to the rear dropouts. On Monday, when I went to pick up the Betty I saw the unpainted prototype up close with wheels on. It has more clearance than the Bombadil so the Big Apples

At the risk of getting flogged or banned, I have to be honest... for me the diagonal tube will take some time before I warm up to it. Even the double parallel TT looked odd and freakish to me at first, but now I absolutely love it... it looks strong and clean, and yet still preserves the classic t

I agree it is fantastic. I also am dreaming and scheming, thinking of rational reasons to get it by the budget committee (my loving wife who is near the end of her patience with my bike fetish.) Harris Cyclery's Elton Pope Lance's rationalization (on his web site) is a classic that I look to for in

I think that diagonal tube is great. Rivendell can keep making the Atlantis forever (and they should), but when they introduce a new bike, it is nice that they really do something different. If you want parallel top tubes, the Bombadil is there for you. My only beef is that the gray is a bit drab f
