I should have added that each cm of width (with corresponding drop in pressure) adds very greatly to float over sand. 50s are the narrowest that I care to ride in sand, at 18 to 20 all round pressure; 60s are noticeably better at 17 or 18 all round; and the WTB Rangers at a non-full-expansion 72 mm
